Teacher

Hailing from Vancouver, Simone is currently completing her Master's in Voice/Opera at University of McGill, and currently has a Bachelor's in Opera from the University of British Columbia. Simone was invited by the Vancouver Opera to perform the role of Cis in their 2013 mainstage production of Albert Herring. In February 2014, Simone performed Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, with the Burnaby Lyric Opera Company under the direction of Richard Berg and conductor Michael Onwood. In 2015 she undertook the roles of Béatrice (Béatrice et Bénédict) with Metro Youth Opera, and Donna (Crush) in a workshop for the Canadian Opera Company in Banff. Over the course of her degree Simone has participated in numerous productions mounted by the UBC Opera Ensemble, in addition to the Ensemble’s collaborations with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Opera Orchestra. She distinguished herself as a principal soloist, with leading roles such as: Giulietta (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), the Fox (The Cunning Little Vixen), Alexander Jr. (The Inventor, composed by Bramwell Tovey), and Harry (Albert Herring). Additionally, Simone was a finalist, in the 2014 UBC Concerto Competition performing Britten’s Our Hunting Fathers. For the 2016 season, Simone will be performing along with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra for Mozart’s Regina Coeli, K. 127.
