Biography
Tatyana is originally from the city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan formerly of the USSR where at a young age she began her music career. Tatyana received her Master’s Degree in Music at the Tashkent State Conservatory. She was fortunate to have a very important piano teacher in her life, Lia Schwartz, who was a student of the Great Russian pianist, Konstantin Igumnov, a professor of the Moscow Conservatory of Music.
Tatyana started her piano teaching career at the Music Lyceum in Tashkent where she put into practice the method of teaching based on proper hand position, knowledge of music theory, music history and the player’s own passion and attitude towards playing the piano. All of which brought great results. Her students made remarkable progress technically and musically in both performances and exams. In 1994 she was awarded the title of “Teacher of the 1st Category”.
Throughout her life in Tashkent and Israel, Tatyana had many performances as a soloist and accompanist and also as a pianist in Chamber Ensembles.
In 2006, Tatyana emigrated to Canada and since then she has been working as a piano teacher and accompanist. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Tatyana has a wealth of knowledge to share with her students.
