Teaching Statement
My teaching philosophy is that music is supposed to be fun. My goal is to help my students get excited about music so that they can't wait to get home and explore the possibilities of their instrument. If you're willing to put in a little bit of practice time every day, I can get you where you need to go as a musician.

Biography
I am a 24 year old dual citizen of Canada and Australia. I've been a musician since I started playing the guitar at age 9, and have been teaching since I was a teenager.
Last year I graduated from the Diploma of Music Composition/ Arranging program at Vancouver Community College, where I was awarded the prestigious "One To Watch" scholarship award for outstanding innovation and originality in music composition.
These days I spend most of my time composing music for student film projects and teaching on the side. In my free time I create my own pop music, work on learning jazz piano, and read books about music, music theory, and ethnomusicology.
Music is my passion and I love sharing that enthusiasm with others through teaching.
