Teaching Statement
I want to give students a comfortable environment to learn and flourish within. Teaching, for me is not about churning out the same kind of players, but lifting the artistic integrity already dwelling inside each person. Every lesson is tailored to the individual, no one learns the same, therefore no one should be taught the same.
Drums are an extremely difficult instrument and it takes dedication and creativity to stand out from the rest. I will give you the tools; the paint brushes so to speak, and you paint the picture.
Education
Privately Trained.
Biography
My musical life began while I was still in high school, my Father played professionally for years and I was interested in what I could learn from him. As time progressed my musical education expanded broadly, encompassing all styles(on drum set) and a keen interest in writing a new drum method. My book is now done and I am extremely excited to take on students and keep passing on the knowledge I have learned.
I have played with trio jazz bands all the way up to 20 to 30 piece orchestras. My main focus is writing my own music, a mix of acoustic and electronic, this way I am able to keep up with the every evolving landscape of electronic music and recording.
